Industrial Automation designs provided by ESI emphasize real time control through Programmable Logic Controllers and PC based Operator Interfaces, with experience in both discrete and analog control. ESI's staff has designed and commissioned control systems ranging from complete processing plants to small conveyor lines. ESI designed systems provide equipment diagnostics to minimize production downtime and maximize investment return. Also available are reporting and data handling capabilities to provide valuable production and maintenance information. The control system design philosophy of ESI is to minimize system startup time. During the design phase, attention is provided to all details, from operational aspects to device wiring connections. Provision of turnkey control systems including equipment, installation and startup is also available from ESI.Additional Electrical Engineering that can be provided by ESI includes both lighting and power distribution system designs. When included with the control system design provided by ESI, these systems are installed at minimized cost, providing cohesive electrical systems. ESI's staff has designed both low voltage and high voltage systems in both underground and overhead raceways.
Engineered design packages provided by ESI typically include conduit plan drawings, single line diagrams, control schematics, control panel layouts and installation specifications. Additional documents available include equipment arrangements, P&I diagrams, operational descriptions, maintenance manuals, cost estimates, equipment specifications, bid solicitations and project schedules.
An additional service available from ESI is Construction Management. Provided with this service is verification that the installation complies with the technical aspects of the contract documents, along with project scheduling, change order resolution and adherence to applicable safety standards.
Another service offered by ESI is on call 24-hour service to provide assistance in troubleshooting electrical systems. ESI's competent staff can diagnose analog and discrete I/O problems as well as motor drive and PLC faults. This service can place your plant back into production as quickly as possible.
ESI can also provide code compliance verification of existing installations as well as new designs. We are a current NFPA member and are familiar with the latest requirements of the National Electrical Code. Our staff is licensed as Professional Engineers in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio and can gain reciprocity licensing in most states if necessary.
